DESCRIPTIONS
| CLASS | DESCRIPTION | TEACHER | |
| > Flow Yoga, Power Flow Yoga, Slow Flow |
This class varies from teacher to teacher, but holds to the basic tenants of yoga through each teacher. It is sometimes conducted in a slightly heated room depending on the teacher and sometimes with music, and the class format follows a Yang/Yin style (i.e. power meets relaxation). Flow Yoga is intended to connect movement with breath. This class will teach you to honor your body, breath, and awareness as you move from posture to posture. Learn through asana (postures), pranayama (breath) and dharana (focused attention) how to empower yourself mind, body & spirit. Be prepared to stretch, strengthen, sweat, surrender, balance, move, flow, breathe, dance, laugh, and relax. Classes are suitable for all levels, and modifications are given. This class will grow your practice in new and deep ways. Come with an open mind and be prepared for anything.

Yoga As Therapy |
Explore movement from a new perspective - understanding body physiology for deep healing and therapeutics. This class will educate you on proper body alignment, muscular function and how to use yoga poses to bring optimum health to repetitive movement issues/injuries. Sometimes props are used. This class is done in a slightly heated room with music, and is recommended for everyone to add to their regular yoga class week for balance and recovery. | Michelle Stobart, Studio Director | |
| > Yin + Restorative Yoga |
This class is Michelle's take on Yin yoga with an added balance through Restorative Yoga. This class is a powerful practice that will target tendons, ligaments and fascia within the body, but is a gentle, non-vinyasa based practice. Each posture will be held for long periods of time to encourage the slow and safe opening of muscles and connective tissues. Almost all the poses in this class will be on the floor. This class is sometimes done in a heated room with music. Sometimes props will be used. |

> Hot yoga Tuesdays (Primary 108 Style) Thursdays (Slow Flow Style) |
This quarter we are offering something new to the Hot Yoga Format. On Tuesdays, Michelle Stobart will teach a Primary 108 Hot Flow based on the Astanga Primary Series with a bit of cross-training in repetitions that concentrate on core, legs, arms or whatever the mood inspires. On Thursdays, slow it down a bit and look at a Slow Flow with Alex Jeannerette where she will concentrate on alignment based flow in a smooth, slow format. Amanda will be back with us this Spring, so keep your practice up to re-join her in the spring ready to go. |

| >Beginner Yoga |
This class is designed for people who have never done the practice of yoga before, or are just beginning their exploration of the practice. In depth discussion of alignment, pose modifications and adjustments, yoga philosophy and breath awareness will be given during these classes. It is recommended that you attend this class for a while to understand yoga and vinyasa basics before moving into the other Flow or Hot Yoga classes. However, it is not a requirement. |
