Far
infrared is a radiant source of heat. This means it warms our body
directly rather than having to warm the air first, much like the
sun warming our body on a cold winters day. This is a major difference
between an infrared sauna and a traditional sauna. There is no need
for very hot air that can cause respiratory problems and dizziness.
Infrared only expends 20% of its energy on heating the air, 80%
directly warms the body to a depth of 4.5cm or 1.5 inches. This
deep penetration of warming radiant heat produces up to 3 times
more sweat and stimulates the deeper tissues and organs to release
stored fat and toxins. The beneficial resonant absorption and the
low temperature allow for easier removal of toxins and fat within
the sweat, leaving the user feeling super cleansed and energized.
Sessions
are 20 minutes in length at a temperature of 135 degress Farenheit.

What do I do during an infrared sauna session?
A. Be prepared to sweat. You will disrobe into your swim suit or undergarments
in our private sauna room. Wrap in one of our fluffy towels and sit
or lie comfortably within the far-infrared sauna. The temperature (135
degress farenheit) and timer are set and you can relax to peaceful music
for 20 minutes. When the timer turns off the sauna, simply get out,
and wipe off with provided towels. Put on your clothes and come out
to the front where, should you desire, we will have a glass of tea waiting
for you to sit and relax after your session.
Q. Is Infrared Heat harmful?
A. Not in the least bit. Infrared light and infrared heat have been
used by doctors and scientists for decades. There have been thousands
of documented studies and there has been no recorded evidence that there
are any ill effects of Infrared energy. Unlike Ultraviolet energy, which
can be very damaging to the skin and ultimately lead to cancer, Infrared
energy is completely safe and has numerous beneficial health affects
on the human body.
