Michelle Stobart. Yoga has been a part of my daily life and inspiration since 1997. In 2003, because of the delicious, connected, and peaceful feeling I felt after each practice, I decided it selfish to not share this with the world. So, I set out to make it part of my life's work to teach others the beauty and wonder that a living yoga practice has brought me. I received my yoga training from teacher and friend, Clayton Horton, at Greenpath Yoga in San Francisco, CA. The more I practice and learn, the more I realized that yoga is constantly opening me in ways beyond just new flexibility and strength within my body. It is my hope and aspiration to share the experiences and benefits of my own living yoga practice with as many people as I can. As I teach, I try to help people open up to a greater joy and peace that comes from within and an ease of living within their own bodies comfortably. I incorporate the power and beauty of nature in my teachings, leading people into a way to draw energy from the Earth and live upon it with a lighter footprint. I have spent the last several years developing an open exploration of Vinyasa as defined by many different teachers, Tripsichore being my main influence. My workshops and classes, through various traditional and non-traditional methods, are designed to help people begin to connect to an authenticity deep within, find their inner creativity and flow, and learn to live their yoga not just on the mat but in all aspects of life. ................. Liz Rhodes.I Grew up in Chicago, IL and moved to Amherst, MA to attend the University of Massachusetts. I received my bachelor's degree in psychology there in 2006. After spending my senior year at UMass cultivating a love of philosophy, in particular the philosophies of love and nonviolence as articulated by Martin Luther King and Gandhi, I moved on to begin work on a Masters in Philosophy at Ohio University in Athens, OH. During my time in Amherst I also began to explore my passions for food and healthy, balanced living in general. Upon moving to Athens and discovering Yoga, my exploration of health, wellness, food and nature has become a lifestyle. I have studied Yoga with Michelle for the past year, and just recently received my certification to teach through Michelle's 200-hr. Teacher Training program at OU. My training was also guided by a number of local teachers (Rebecca Wood, Linda Cochran) as well as Edward Clark of Tripsichore Yoga and David Lurey, a yogi based in San Francisco. I continue to find inspiration through Michelle's practice and teaching as well as through nature and the study of the 8 limb path of Yoga. My lifestyle finds balance through work as a cook at the Village Bakery and Pizza Della Zona, both outstanding endeavors of sustainable, eco-friendly business. I am due to begin holding a weekly community yoga class at the Athens Library in March. Boaz Ramos
also known as Balaramacandra das was introduced to Bhagavad Gita in the year 2000. It illuminated my world and revealed life's beauty! In 2001 I joined the International Society for Krishna Consciousness and began my intensified quest for enlightenment through the path of Bhakti Yoga, the path of loving devotion to Sri Sri Radha and Krishna. After a year of study in an ashram in Tucson, Arizona I moved to West Virginia where I have lived, studied and served for the past 6 years as a monastic student under the guidance of my spiritual preceptor(guru). I have been formally trained and initiated as a Vaishnava(hindu) priest, Certified Kripalu Yoga teacher, Vegan baker and chef, and direct a non-profit organization called Food For Life Experience. Regular trips to India have focused my practice(sadhana) and expanded my love for Vedic culture. Yoga and meditation have rooted deep within my heart. Sacred scripture is a beckon of light always directing me. I long for association with serious spiritual practitioners and sincere seekers on the path of yoga. I love to teach as a means to share all the blessings I have received. I am here for you. How can I serve you?

Stephanie Smith
began practicing Anusara yoga in 2004 because of the cute teacher at the local fitness center. Since then she has been awed by the invigorating, healing power of breath and movement, combined in a way to bring a new awakening to anyone's sluggish yoga practice. She completed Yoga Alliance 200-Level Teacher Training in 2007 through Ping Fitness Center at Ohio University. Michelle Stobart introduced her to Vinyasa, which has since affected her practice in the most positive light. Stephanie's teaching combines both beliefs, bringing body and heart into alignment........Back to top

Sarah Flesher began her journey with yoga as an undergrad. Early on, her main focus was weight loss and body transformation via an Iyengar type approach. However, it wasn't until Sarah spent 1 year in Korea as an ESL teacher that she discovered meditation with Buddhist monks and the peace that came with the mindful exploration of body, mind, and spirit. After going through a 200 hour level yoga teacher training program (led by her mentor, Michelle Stobart), Sarah knew that yoga would indeed be her new way of life. She knew that dedicating time, effort, and mindfulness to her own practice would help others explore their own bodies and minds. Sarah hopes to inspire the uninspired through the healing art that is yoga. Amanda Sharrai. I spent most of my years in Ann Arbor, MI. Recently I found Athens, the hidden gem of Ohio. I began my yoga career in 2001. Over the past 8 years I have practiced many forms of yoga including: Bikram, Anusara, Hatha, Karma, Bhakti and Iyengar. In January 2008 I received my 200 level Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification. I also have a bachelors degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University and have extensive training in non-violent dialogue. Yoga has brought a balance to my mind that wasn’t present before I began this journey. I feel as though yoga has brought me to be more present in all that I do. I hope that yoga will do for you what it has for me, brought me to a whole new level of freedom..freedom from the mind and body. Check out my site for more www.createspaceyogastudio.com.

My other interests include: sustainable living, raw food preparation and gardening.

Hope to see you in class!

Anna Seno. My mother, who has been a devoted practitioner for years to quiet her mind and relax her body, introduced me to yoga. Over the years, I have watched her spiritually and physically transform through her practice. It was that desire to feel the authenticity of inner quiet and wholeness that inspired me to practice yoga and then, years later, to become a yoga teacher. In 2005 I was trained and certified in Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow by Larry Schultz of It's Yoga in San Francisco, and since then have shared my practice with friends, family, children and adults in various regions of the world. I see yoga as a gift to share with others, as a way to touch the stillness and awareness within our busy minds while cleansing and rejuvenating the body. I continue to strive to carry the mindfulness and compassion of yoga off the mat and into my life, as I believe this to ultimately be the greatest gift we can give ourselves and those around us.

Alley Kreim. At the beginning of high school, I started practicing Yoga with Rodney Yee's Gaiam DVDs. I thought it would help soothe some muscle pains and straighten out a stiff back. After my first few attempts at downward dog, I was given a fresh state of challenging awareness. "You mean I can eventually find myself at ease within these postures? No way!" I had been trained to "stretch" through soccer and dance, but I had never witnessed this amount of limbic capacity before. Yoga completely rejuvenated my posture and opened my eyes to the vast potential of bodily healing. I have since been awed by the various forms of yogic meditation, like lucid dreaming and Kirtan chanting. For the past year and a half, I have been practicing Vinyasa with Michelle Stobart, and attending Ashtanga classes at Yoga on High in Columbus. I have been blessed with the wisdom of amazing teachers through Michelle's 200-level training program, like Rebecca Wood and Linda Cochran from Athens, Ohio, David Lurey from San Francisco, and Edward Clark from Tripsichore Yoga. It has been an incredible journey that is guaranteed limitless through the art of Yoga. By integrating the power of our mind, body and breath, I believe we can all find an ease within ourselves to let go and fully appreciate what is right in front of our eyes.
